The actor and actress played roles in Thelma & Louise Beetlejuice and Stuart Little. The actress was awarded an Golden Globe Award nomination for her role as Dottie on A League of Their Own. The role she played as Muriel in the film The Accidental Travel which was a 1988 drama film won her the Academy Award for best supporting actress. She was the main role in Beetlejuice which was an American horror film that was released in 1988. It was written and starred in by Tim Burton. Davis is well-known for her film and TV acting. Davis has also been recognized for her portrayal of strong, authentic women characters as well as being a champion for females working in the industry. From the beginning, she discovered a love for music. She learned piano and flute and was able to play the organ as a teenager to be an organist in her Congregationalist church in Wareham. She was named Junior College All-American and transferred to Arizona State University, where she ceased playing soccer for doubts about herself. After her studies, she moved back to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modeling acting and promotions. Then she came upon the call to audition for W.W.E.
